Sick
I am not really one to get sick...even with the small occasional cold. But Mom and James has some type of something a few weeks ago...which I got after them and it drug out. I was pretty miserable most of the time because my nose would just run and run and I just felt all gross and snotty all the time. About 7 days after I was all good and recovered from that I woke up on Sunday morning with a sore throat. Not very thrilled I kept waiting for it to move to my sinus area. Monday still sore throat. Tuesday still a sore throat and then I coughed for the first time and thought I was going to die. All during this throat stuff everything else felt great. I could breath...I had no sinus pressure...no headache nothing. Then Tuesday night came and I got no sleep. I moved to the couch in attempts to help James. I couldn't lay down without joking and once I got elevated enough to not joke but comfortable enough to get some sleep I would wake up within 30 mins choking. I was miserable. I would cough until I cried. I was literally praying for sleep. The next morning my throat was pretty red and I was in incredible pain...afraid it was strep. So I got an appt down the hall from work on Wednesday during my lunch hour. Thankfully it wasn't strep just a bad virus. He gave me a shot and some Rx meds. Everything he gave me helped. But I have never had a sore throat cause me so much pain. Its been a few days and the pain still wakes me up in the middle of the night. If my cough meds wear off at all I go into this major coughing attack. I popped a blood vessel in my eye due to all the coughing. And I as I type it is night 2 on the couch for me cause I just can't quit coughing. I have never had a cough that didn't just last for 12 to 24 hrs and lead strait to a normal sinus cold. This is nuts. Luckily other than the coughing and throat pain I feel great. I want to do stuff and feel like doing stuff...but I am ready for the attacks to be done with. And I am ready to get rid of my man voice!!!!
