First of all, I would like to mention that a few of the dogs I walked last Saturday went to their forever homes some time between now and then :-)
Layla, Samson, Susie, Scoobie, Charlie, Rory and Lisa Congratulations Babies!!!!!
Today, I got to see a lot of new dogs and I got to spend a lot of time loving...they really were into the lovin and the rubbin today. And basking in the sun also had a little bit to do with it. :-)
So I started with Mabel who I met last week and who has a thing for biting the leash. I always want to try and break them from that because I think it doesn't help then get adopted...but I don't really know how and I kind of think they grow and learn out of it more than anything.
MABLE
Then I moved on to Gracie. She was a black with some white spots terrier lab mix. Thats what they title the ones that kind of have the pit look. She had the strongest frame but was the sweetest girl ever. She basically walked under you. She wanted to be in front but wanted you to lead the way. She was the sweetest little thing and gave great love. I really enjoyed meeting her today.
Then I walked Roxie who is 6 who I also met last week. I always have a heart for the older ones. I just always believe they know what its like to have a home and are just waiting to return to that life. :-( I walked Duece who is hit or miss on being a little bit of a puller and he was such a lover today...rolling in the grass and just hugging.
Then I had some fun with the short little boy Laurel. He was pretty small but looked like he would hold his own well in a pack.
LAUREL
Then I walked Star who I saw last week but wasn't on the side of adoption yet. He is so unique looking. He is kind of built like Bailey but even taller and a bit skinner. He is white as can be with gray speckle spotted ears and one blue eye and one brown. He was so sweet and just so cool looking. I think someone will grab him fast cause he just really stands out.
STAR & VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH NORMA
Then I moved on to Maggie who I forgot loves to bite that leash. She just wanted to play play play. She even got lose and thanks to her love for sticks I got that leash back!!
MAGGIE
Then I walked Perry who I remembered from last week. He is a little smaller than Bailey...all black with the white spot and has this curly tail. He is definitely a lover so sweet!!!
PERRY
Then I walked Minnie this cute little tan and brown girl...she was more interested in outside than me...and that is always a okay!
MINNIE
Then I moved on to Chow Chow who I saw the week before thought was so cool looking. As I was working my way through the dogs in his direction he was pretty rowdy...so I expected that kind of walk from him...but not at all. He was awesome and soft and fluffy and lovey!!!
CHOW CHOW
After all those dogs another volunteer showed up...which was great! So I grabbed the two dogs out front to finish up. Romeo who so much reminds me of Harpeth. I am glad he is in the front. He is more comfortable up there and gets more exposure.
ROMEO
Then I grabbed Pete who reminds me of Deuce a little...but he was just really chill a bit lovey but really enjoyed his walk.
PETE
By that time I had gotten a lot of dogs done and Dr. Lutz had called about Billy. So that is how I ended my day at the shelter!!!!
