Sick Sweet Bill

Earlier this week Billy started not feeling well. He just wasn't acting right. So much so that on Thursday James let him ride with him all day and I scheduled him a drop off doctor's appt for Friday morning. I originally scheduled it thinking I could drop him off, talk to the lady there...then head to the shelter...then go pick him up and talk to the doc. Well, I forgot I didn't have my car this week. So...James had to take him :-( I hated not being able to talk to the doc in person and all of that...but it worked out ok. His doctor Dr. Lutz is so great...I love him and he called me while I was walking my last shelter dog.

He let me know that Billy had 104 temp and thru all the tests run it appeared that he had a kidney infection but not kidney stones. So he was definitely sick, but it was treatable. When I called back later to pay the lady was like I am really worried about him...he is just not acting right. So I was really curious what it would be like when he got home.

He screamed when he crawled out of the van :-( ran straight for the house. He got upstairs drank water and just didn't know what to do or what he wanted. He tried to pick up a toy and screamed then he just started whining. He had a total melt down. So I took him back outside. He did some more business and came back in and totally chilled out.

Since then he has just been laying around...which is totally fine with me. I think we will see even more improvement tomorrow once the meds start really kicking in.

I posted some picts and status updates on facebook and everyone was so great. Everyone was so encouraging and asking about Billy. It was really nice and helped me to not worry so much.
