Richland Creek Run

Saturday morning Mom and I got ready for our 5 Mile race around the Greenway near Sylvan Park. We signed up in preparation for the Marathon. This was our first time for this race and I really enjoyed it. It was a great length, a great course and we had great weather! Everyone was really nice, the shirts were awesome! And the kid race at 7:30am was adorable! I stumbled on this race through a google search. It is amazing to see all the races that take place each weekend just around the corner from us. 


We worked really hard to make in under an hour...usually we are looking at a 5k in 46 mins so I couldn't believe we really got this done. We started after the clock started so we were just under 59 mins..but what a great picture..thanks to James. Mom was determined to get across that finish line!!!!

It was a good morning, I am very thankful to be able to do these events with my Mom and I would also like to thank Larry and James for not only being there at the finish line, but for getting up early with us for these events and helping us get there and us not have to worry about parking. They are some good cheer leaders ;-)
