An Exciting Adventure for James!

Yesterday around 11 James called me to tell me he was in the middle of no where and found two pups...under 3 months that were strays and very under fed. He wanted to know if he should grab them. My first immediate thought is absolutely. However, grabbing two strays means that you are willing to care for them until a spot opens up in a shelter. It means you will have to bathe them, feed them, and possibly take them for shots. It means you will have to open up your clean home and expose your dogs to whatever these strays may have if you don't have a good house for holding pups seperately. Being that we live in a condo we don't have many options.

Anyway, while all this ran through my head...plus thinking if he doesn't get them they will die...I told him I will do this with you...but it is your call. Needless to say...they were in his van within minutes and on there way to his next job with him :-)

Now, ever since I met James, his love for Billy and Bailey has been a huge deal to me. They are 100% his dogs too and he loves them so much. James understands my love for B&B, and he understands my heart for all these needy pups out there and he understand my love for going to the shelter every week. However, other than James supporting me...his hands on involvement has been limited. One he hasn't really had the opportunity...but also because its kind of my thing.

So, to know that James saved these two babies lives and was pro active made me so happy. Now, he probably didn't know all the info like if you take these pups we may have them for a few weeks...but while he was driving around with them, I was making phone calls trying to get them into the shelter ASAP....for our sake, for B&B's sake and for the pups sake. They would get better care and get a furever home faster the sooner they made it to the shelter.

As luck would have it we were extremely lucky and the shelter had room for these two sweet babies...so James and I took them to the shelter at 4. The girl weighed 9.14lbs and the boy weighed 12.12lbs.

Here are some pictures :-)
