Today was a very packed day!

We got our day started of right...when James mentioned a walk to the babies before I was even out of my PJs ;-) The minute they heard the word it was on!
We then headed to home depot to get going on our decorating!!!!

And even had time to stop and play with the pups...Dress up time!!!!!

We forgot to take a "dressed up" picture on Thanksgiving...
so this was our as close as it gets pict!

After James headed to work I headed to meet Dad at Greenhills to see Unstoppable and then afterwords we went to get some yummy dinner at Bella Napoli!

~ Run ~ Run ~ Run ~ Run ~ Eat ~ Eat ~ Eat ~ Eat

Well Turkey Day came and went and we all survived!

Thursday morning we all got up bright and early and all met to head to Bellemede for Mom and I to run a 5 mile Bolt! The weather was just perfect and we really had a good time. This was our first Bolt and I will definitely be doing it again. There were tons of people, but it was a great course and it was really relaxed and everyone there was there to raise money and have a good time. It was really nice having James and Larry there at the finish line!!!! :-)

After the race we headed to Mom's house to finish preparing our food and shower up to have a really nice lunch. Mom and James did lots of work to make lunch very wonderful and it was so so so so yummy!!!!!!

After eating til we about popped we took a short little nap...raced home to let out our pups...and then raced to Mike and Kim's for round 2.
It really felt like round 5, but it was really nice visiting with them and getting to spend some quality family time with them.

After dinner we were so happy to head home...
and see our babies...and they were ready to see us.
All in all it was a nice Thanksgiving and great food was definitely had!

With the low number of free nights James' has off and our crazy schedules very rarely do we get a night in that gives us time for dinner and a movie. But Monday night was our night! James helped my with my little turkey project and we got to watch a fun movie and hang out at home with our babies...
definitely a nice night!

Happy Birthday Helen Elizabeth

Just wanted to write a short spot in memory of my sweet Grandmother, Helen Elizabeth Braswell. We all called her Mama Helen. Today is her Birthday and I was just remember some good times I had with her. It will be very different over the holidays without her.

In addition, on her special day I am really thinking about her husband Bobby Gene aka Dada Gene. He was so incredibly sweet to her over the years, especially the last few. Always making sure she had what she needed and didn't have anything she shouldn't. I find my thoughts are revolving around him more and more. His world is completely different without her here and I know that he misses her and each day is so long and so empty. I love them both so dearly.

Mama Helen we miss you!
Dada Gene we are always thinking of you!

Few and Far Between

My entries have become fewer and farther between...we have been busy busy...but not with anything really worth mentioning or good pictures to show. Work, cleaning, sleeping, work...ya know. But, the holidays are quickly approaching so there will be lots of things to post really soon...if I can keep up ;-)

I can't believe we are already half way through November and that Thanksgiving is next week! I absolutely love Thanksgiving. I can't say its my favorite holiday because warmer weather always wins me over, but I do love, love, love it! I think what I love most is that the importance for family to gather is extremely strong but there are no gifts! That's right I love no gifts! Gifts can over take the enjoyment of Christmas...so Thanksgiving you win!

Oh and by the way OMG I am so happy tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!!!!!

Come See Our New House!!!!

So now that we are almost settled I told James that we had to do a family picture where we could send out change of address cards. James has only taken a group picture with us once and never had to have it on a greeting card so I am pretty sure he wasn't too excited. I told him just wait til Christmas Mr. ;-)

Anyway, here are our attempted picts and final cut from our first family greeting card experience!

Attempt 1: I told James his only responsibility was to get Bailey to look at the camera ;-)

Attemp 2: Almost there

Clearly Bill is a professional ;-)

Attempt 3: Not perfect...but we'll take it!
(yes she again looks like a gremlin)

Our Final Postcard!

A Family Celebration :-)

Each year our company has a wonderful, extravagant Christmas party to celebrate the holiday and we always have so much fun together. For Thanksgiving we always try to get together as well to celebrate as a "family" and enjoy each other's company.
My first Thanksgiving with the company in 07 we all went out to PJ's farm in Fairview and celebrated. In 08 we attempted an in office potluck...not a good idea...not enough room...not enough kitchen appliances and who wants to go back to work after a big meal. In 09 we all gathered at Amerigo which was really nice but not as family oriented. So this year since PJ had built him a new house and wanted to show it to us all...we decided to trek back out to Fairview for a good ol potluck family meal.
The food was good, the company was good, and the Wine was GREAT! ;-)
Here are some pictures from the event...clearly we all had plenty of fun!

Happy Haunting!!!!

This weekend James and I house and pet watched for Mom and Larry. It is always interesting to get all four dogs in somewhat close quarters but we some how seemed to manage.

It was really a busy weekend with James working, both of us trying to tie up the loose ends with our old places as well as have Halloween to celebrate, celebrate James' brother's bday, take care of our pups oh and hang out with each other!

We did manage to have a little bit of fun though. We headed downtown to Slaughterhouse Friday night and then got to spend a nice breakfast at Cracker Barrell Saturday morning together and relax that afternoon. Then we headed out to celebrate Halloween a bit on Demonbreun later that night. Sunday was full of errands and then finally home to greet our Trick-or-Treaters!
Here are a few picts from our busy weekend!!!

HALLOWEEN ON DEMONBREUN!!!!

For his Birthday Zac got a skate board. From James he got all the protective gear...some cool new skate shoes and a few pointers :-)

Our babies didn't dress up on Halloween, but they did have great costumes this year for their holiday card. On the actual night they were rewarded for their good behavior concerning the trick-or-treaters with new their new toys for their new house! :-)

We had to rush rush rush home, but we made it just in time to get a few things set out for our visitors. It was really fun getting to celebrate our 1st Halloween in our new house with some really cute Trick-or-Treaters!!!!
