A Week Already!!!!!

I can't believe a week ago today James and his friends were moving all of our stuff...honestly so much has been going on that it feels like that was like a month ago...however in a month we better be more settled in than we are right now ;-)

Wednesday, actual moving day went as good as could be expected with a few minor bumps and bruises. It was amazing coming home to a new unpacked house when I got off work!

(ALL THE PICTS OF THE HOUSE...THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE WHEN I GOT HOME! JAMES DID SO MUCH WORK. THE PUPS WERE SO HAPPY TO BE IN THEIR NEW SPOT!)

Thursday morning James had to work, so I got as much as I could done while he was away and while the DirecTV guy got us up and running and then after work he had to go get another load from my house...needless to say it was a long day for everyone.

Friday morning James woke us all up bright and early...which really wasn't of benefit because it got us to Costco hours before it opened, but we did get to have a nice little breakfast together before heading back to Costco. After a few chores here and there James headed to work and later that night I took Dad to Bella Napoli where he could experience the new restraunt! :-)

(I FOUND THESE HALLOWEEN BANDANAS FOR THE PUPS...BAILS WAS EXTREMELY RESISTANT TO GETTING HER PICT TAKEN IN IT...WELL AT LEAST A POSED PICT)
Saturday morning James and I did a little exploring and some non-house shopping at the Cool Springs Mall, which was really a nice change in pace. He had work that evening, but got home early and it was nice to have a piece of a Saturday night with him.

(THE PUPS WERE SO CUTE IN THEIR BACK YARD ON THIS BEAUTIFUL DAY!)

Sunday James had to work a double, so I was back on my own trying to get as much possibly done and got some more stuff from my house as well.

Monday was my first day back to the real world and my first day living at my new house in my normal work day routine. It went pretty well and that night we both crashed early!!!!

Tuesday was rough, work went well, but after work I went straight to my old house to clean til dinner with my BFF and I just couldn't shake this headache. It ended up being the worst headache I have had in a really long time, so regardless of my to do list, after dinner I went straight to bed.

And here it is back to Wednesday...a full week. Tonight I am excited about, James isn't working and isn't working tomorrow night either!!!! YAY!!! Hopefully tonight we will carve our punkins!!!! So now that you have made it through all the text...here are some picts to capture all the activity...wish there were more to really say welcome to our new house...but it has been crazy busy!!!!!

Finally, I have had a few people ask me if I miss my old house...I mean I did live there for 5 years!!!! But, if you are wondering what my answer is to that question...it is NO! I don't miss it at all! I really miss it alot less than I thought. I thought it would be a bit sad going back into the empty house...but like I said before the best part of that house was the memories that were made inside of it. Not the actual house. At this point I am dying to finish getting it clean and get rid of it!!!!

Today Is The Day!!!! 10~20~10

I can't believe today is finally here!!! I have been waiting for this day for so long...even before I even knew the date of it I have been waiting for this day!

I have been telling Billy since I can remember that one day Mommy is going to get you in a real house, with a real fenced in yard and the day is finally here! I am so excited about so many things...but first I would like to take just a few mins and remember some things about 1402.

The things that are so great about 1402 have nothing to do with the actual structure of 1402, it centers around everything inside.

1402 even though its a duplex was my first house
And it was Billy's first house
House parties/dinner parties with my friends started there...many many parties
My house was the preparty/after party house during the many wkends spent on Demonbreun
This is where I brought Bailey home and introduced her to her new, wonderful life
This is where I introduced Billy to his new sister and his new, non-only child life
And it is where James picked me up for our first date and where I introduced him to my life

Many wonderful memories took place here and this place will definitely be a place I will always remember. For the longest time I thought I had to move from this place to start a new chapter in my life and I was so anxious for that all to happen. But that next chapter started here and it was so wonderful and NOW I get to start another chapter at a new house with my 2 babies that I love so dearly and a wonderful guy that I am so excited to live with.

So many wonderful new things are just around the corner and I am so excited for all 4 of us

:-( Good Bye Old House :-)

Last night was our last night in the old house. It wasn't as sentimental as I thought it would be, probably because I was running around like a mad woman trying to get as many last minute things packed as possible. Like I have posted before this house holds some really great memories, but I am definitely looking forward to all the new memories to be made in the new house!!!
Here are some picts from our last night together in the house:

Love That Boy!

These were taken a few weeks back...but it was just an accident that these got thrown on Bill. Then once it was an obvious photo op he was more than willing to comply. Proof that Bill will do anything for Mama!!!!!

Zip Zip Zip

So amidst all the craziness, James and I set aside just a few hours for a really cool tripple date!!!!
Sunday afternoon we met up with Tom & Eva and Jay & Cheryl at Adventureworks for our Zip Line tour. It was the perfect day for an activity such as this and I think we all really enjoyed it. I would love to go back and do some other stuff there and it looked as if they were always adding new things to their courses. They also do a night time zip tour...I think that would be great!!!!
(There so were so many picts so they are posted tiny...I think you can
get somewhat of a better view if you click on the collage though :-) enjoy! )

The last week or so has been completely crazy! James has been working so hard to get our new house in the best shape for moving in. He works on the house all day and then works at the Restraunt all night. I know we will both be so ready to be moved and settled by the time the weekend gets here. We are still set to move on Wednesday so until then pack pack pack pack pack!

Chihuly At Night

Friday night Mom, Larry, Mary Katherine, Mickey and I gathered and decided to go explore Cheekwood and the Chihuly exibit. James was suppose to go too, but had to work :-( Anyway, James and I had gone earlier in the year, but I was excited to go again at night. The place was packed though, I mean lines of people everywhere!!!! It made the exhibit a little more difficult to enjoy, but overall it was still really great!!!!

~FRIDAY FUNDAY~

Friday was a very, very special day. Both James and I had decided that it would be a good idea to let the dogs explore the house before we moved them there for good. I knew they would love it regardless, but it was so fun setting aside a time just to let them play and explore while we got a little work done. I can't wait for them to be able to actually live here. I think they will love their life here and be really excited about the space they have.

~~~~~GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!!!~~~~~ + A JAY :-)
Months ago some of us decided to buy Carrie Underwood tickets and finally it is October and we all got to go to dinner together and to a wonderful concert. I was really impressed by the show and the production of it all. Carrie of course looked amazing and really sounded great too. She was a wonderful entertainer and I was so happy that I went!
Anytime that I get dressed up a bit I like to try and get a picture with the pups!
I loved the production of the show they did a great job!!!
House Update
Just to update everyone: Everything with the house is going great! We ended up getting to start painting the place yesterday the 11th. So James got up early on his day off and headed out there to start prepping and begin the painting process. Lots of trim needs to be painted, but as far as rooms go we are painting (aka James is painting) the living area, the kitchen, the half bath and the guest bedroom upstairs. Yesterday he worked over 12 hours getting the living room completely done and the kitchen over half way done. He has done such a great job…he is really turning this rental house into “our home.”
The first few pict it looks like UT orange but this picture shows more of the true dark nutmeg color...it looks really great!!!!
It has been a really good experiences picking out paint and talking about where we want certain furniture and the layouts of the rooms. We are going to love our new place and love all of our space!!!! And our pups are going to be so happy. I can’t wait to show them their new back yard!!!!
Race 4 The Cure...We Miss You RJ
I completely forgot to post this post.... :-( On Saturday Oct 9th The Race 4 the Cure 5k was hosted at Maryland Farms in Brentwood. Last year this event was the same day as The Mutt Strutt, but this year I really, really wanted to participate. I was hopeful my Uncle Billy would be able to participate with me in memory of his wife Sharon aka RJ, but his work didn't allow him to. So...the next best thing I thought of was to do this event with my Mom and Billy the dog :-) The morning of the Race the plan was to have Larry drop the 3 of us off. Well, it just so happens that these horribly annoy squirrels at my house were incredibly loud...again. So James was up with me so he headed out there with us and him and Larry hung out and waited on us.
Mommy and Billy :-)
The Race went so great! Better than I ever could have thought. It was alot hotter than I expected but we all did great. This was only my 2nd 5k ever and I think Mom's first and definitely Billy's first 5k ever. Mom held the leash the entire way and Billy did so good weaving in and out of the walkers. We finished in 40 mins flat...which I was really pleased with. We basically ran the entire way just had to manage through the crowd. It was a great experience and for a wonderful cause. I was so happy to celebrate the memory of Sharon and remember all the great times with her and her family.
