Accidents Happen

I thought Tuesday night was gonna be just like an ordinary Tuesday night...but it wasn't. I was heading home from James' house, hadn't even made it to the Interstate and ended up in a car accident. I was very lucky, and only ended up with minor damages to my hands. However, injuries to your hands are quite inconvenient!!!! The top of my left hand is burned and my right thumb is cut and sprained...all injuries from the airbag. Its funny because all the little things that you are use to being able to do all the sudden become important things that you need help with. Its amazing how limited I feel, but its day 3 and I'm definitely figuring things out quickly and I'm able to do so much more than the last 2 days. I would like to quickly mention that having hired Allison to work at IVWU and having her there this week has been so much help, and I am so thankful that she is there and doing such a good job!

We did head to the ER to make sure nothing was broken. We didn't get out of there til around 2:30am...but I was thankful I had James with me at the crash site and had him there to take me to the ER, be there with me and even keep me entertained, and take care of me afterwards. I don't think I could have had it any better under the circumstances!!!

I haven't found out about my car yet, but I am definitely anxious to know if I need to start the car search process.

Just Bailey!!!

Like I said in the last post it is really hard to get good pictures of Bailey and its even harder to get good pictures with Bailey. She doesn't know how to look at the camera like Billy does and when you are taking her picture and talking to her to look at you she runs at you.

She's definitely not as smart as Bill. PawPaw calls that the difference between full bred and trailer trash.

Yes he called his grand-dog daughter trailer trash...its okay...we understand what he means :-) and we still love him anyway! Here are a few I got of her and with her the best that I could.

This is the face I get every time she is doing something she knows she isn't suppose to do and gets caught and/or reprimanded.

Billy is still definitely my baby boy...but Bailey is my baby girl!

She's All Legs!!!!

So this past weekend was absolutely beautiful!!! On Friday I had the opportunity to take the dogs over to Mom's aka Nana's house. We have been waiting for a day to do that for weeks. They got to run around the yard and play however they wanted and it was really great.

Bailey is definitely not as photogenic and Bill and it kind of makes me crazy, I want to have good pictures of her just like i do of Bill. She definitely needs some training, but I got a few while we were outside. You can see how tall she is getting...she still is way under weight, but her legs are as long as Billy's!

Its hard to keep her nose off the ground...she is a hunter!!!

Not understanding why no one will let her in the house

Butt Shot...but you can kind of see the legs!

Bailey figured out how to take advantage of being skinny minny!!!!

One of Billy's favorite things is car rides...Bailey is adapting but its definitely not her favorite thing. Sometimes she is good and stays in the back with Bill and sometimes she is just no good. I need to get her a seat beat like Bill's and maybe that will keep her put. However, Billy might run her over going from window to window. For being as small as she is, she definitely knows how to push him around a bit too though.

She sure knows how to push her way in there!

Billy is trying to ignore the fact that she made it to the front...and Bailey's thinking you are gonna make me pay for this later...aren't you?

They totally crashed when we got home.

Bailey absolutely loves to lay all over Billy and cuddle. He acts like she disturbs him, but secretly I think he loves cuddling too. But I think he definitely misses his one-on-one time with his Mommy, Nana and PawPaw!

These aren't great videos but I thought I'd share...idk what happened to the sound??

We Are The Word!

In March of 1985, for those of you who remember “We Are The World” was released. I being only 4 months shy of 3 years old, actually remember it thanks to my wonderful mother. Mom raised me right listening to the best of the best in music and the video included almost all of my most favorites. (Tina, Bruce, Cyndi, Huey, Lionel, and Michael) Some who still to this day fall in that category. I loved it so much we even have a recording of me singing along with the stars…back then I was pretty sure the words went a little something like this:

“We are the word” and “So lets stop givin'”

All sung in the best southern accent a 3 year old from Nashville can pull off.

Anyway, I still love the song and the video I just think is one of the coolest things. So I was thrilled to hear that it would be redone. Knowing that the original is always better, I did however thoroughly enjoy the remake and think they did an awesome job.

Crazy Heart

So I had a complaint/request to mention a movie that I saw recently with my Dad called Crazy Heart.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1263670/
It stars Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal who both do a wonderful job. I was even impressed with Colin Farrell and the job he did...it was hard to believe it was even him cause it was such a diffrent role for him. It was amazing to me how much Jeff Bridges favored Kris Kristofferson in the film.

It is a fairly typical portrayal of a burnt out country musician, but it is done really well, its entertaining and the music is really good too. If you can't make it to the theater for this one, it is definitely worth renting. However, if you don't like Country Music...
you will not enjoy this film :-)

St. Valentine's Day

Saint Valentine's Day is an annual holiday held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions. The holiday is named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius I in AD 496. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards. The holiday first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.

So I guess we all kind of knew most of that, but I thought I'd share. This year I have heard so much controversy over the holiday. I don't think it would be the end of the world if we all boycotted it next year, it is a bit over rated. Prices of flowers and chocolates go up, and reservations are impossible to find at the time you want and the place you want just because of the date...that's a little much. However, no girl can really complain when they receive those flowers from a boy they like :-)

Just another attempt to get the 3 of us in a photo together...we are still practicing!

They are my faithful sweet Valentines...I love the unconditional love of a dog...it is the best!

James did have to work all weekend, even on Sunday which he never has to do...it was a long week for him. I got these beautiful flowers as a surprise on Friday...it was perfect and they are so beautiful. He really did have an extremely long Friday and Saturday night so I wasn't sure if it was going to work out, but I took him to brunch Sunday morning before he had to be back at work...it wasn't anything fancy but it was nice.
Finally, I will say since I didn't have the opportunity to actually be with the boy on the night of the holiday...I did get the next best thing...a low key dinner with my BFF! What more could a girl ask for? Hope everyone had a good weekend regardless if it was a Valentine's Weekend or a Nation Single Awareness Weekend...either way hope it was a good one!

Back To School Back To School

After much thought and consideration to my sainness I decided to get Bailey into a puppy class. The timing was perfect...our old friend Peg had just started a class for 20 wk old pups. We missed the very first class, but was able to go to the next one early and catch right up. Back in the fall of 2007 Billy and I met Peg at a agility course at The Music City Mutt Strutt. Then once we made the connection that Peg was my work friend Pam's dog trainer I did a little research. Billy and I attended 3 of her Summer 08 Saturday courses and in the Fall decided to sign up for a full class called Dogs in Motion and it was such a great experienced for Billy and I. And our friends Pam and Mia were in the class too!

Doesn't she just look like T-R-O-U-B-L-E?????

Anyway, Peg was my first thought when I decided Bailey needed some further discipline in her life and I needed to be reminded of the skills needed to train a puppy. We attended our 3rd class this Saturday and have one more to go. Bailey has been doing great and I am learning so many knew things as well. We are very thankful for Peg!!!!

Just A February Picture Update!

This is what most days at our house look like:

She loves to cuddle with him in his chair...not so sure how he feels about this.

They both love laying by the heater...some times she takes all the heat and makes him whine.

This is one of her hang out spots...on the back of the couch.

I might get in trouble for posting this pict...its a little dark but totally adorable...they love him!
(if you can't see both dogs are right next to each other resting their heads on his leg)

I bought a new gate for their room and I love it!!!! Not so sure how Bailey feels about it :-)

If they are together she definitely wants to snuggle snuggle snuggle!!!! Sweet Cuddle bugs!!!

This is what meal time is like at our house!!!!
