Way Down Here - Kenny Chesney
Put off the mail and I
Left on a light and I
Locked up the house and I
Jumped on a flight and I'm
Still by myself but I'm
Thinking more clear if I'm
Gonna be down, Gonna be down way down here
Where no one will ask cause nobody knows
That you're not in my life anymore
And no one can tell the salt water from my tears
No the pull of the tide or the crash of the waves
Ain't gonna wash your memory away
But theres a beautiful view of the end of the world from the pier
If I'm gonna be down, I'm gonna be down way down here
Untied my lines and I
Slid through the sound and I
Mixed me a drink now I
Sit on the bow and I'm
Watching the sun just like you'll disappear
If I'm gonna be down, I'm gonna be down way down here
Where no one will ask cause nobody knows
That you're not in my life anymore
And no one can tell the salt water from my tears
No the pull of the tide or the crash of the waves
Ain't gonna wash your memory away
But theres a beautiful view of the end of the world from the pier
And if I'm gonna be down, I'm gonna be down way down here
No the pull of the tide or the crash of the waves
Ain't gonna wash your memory away
But theres a beautiful view of the end of the world from the pier
And if I'm gonna be down, I'm gonna be down
If I'm gonna be down, I'd rather be down way down here
Way down here
If you want me back now
I can be found
Way down here
If I'm gonna be down
If I'm gonna be down
Way down here

13.1

Once again it is that time of year....Music City Marathon Time!!!! This year it has been super rough getting together to train with Mom. We don't work as close together as we use to, we don't live as close together as we use to, I think we are busier than before, and this dang weather just hasn't been on our side. But...last Friday we did 10 miles and it is now approaching time to get that 13.1 done. Wish us luck...now its back to hydrating and pasta preparing!!!!!
Storms Storms Storms...and more Storms!!!
It seems like over the past 4-5 weeks at least 3-4 nights out of the week we get horrible storms during the sleeping hours. I don't mind the noise too much as long as danger isn't really involved. However, lots of people around us are definitely having bad experiences. Bailey absolutely hates it, Bill doesn't mind it but definitely stays close to make sure everyone is doing ok. I know April showers bring May flowers...but this is getting out of hand. I am certain that it doesn't help that we are coming upon the year anniversary of the 2010 Nashville Flood.

Lyrics of The Wk #3 You're Gonna Miss This
You're Gonna Miss This - Trace Adkins
She was staring out that window, of that SUV
Complaining, saying I can't wait to turn 18
She said I'll make my own money, and I'll make my own rules
Mamma put the car in park out there in front of the school
Then she kissed her head and said I was just like you
You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good timesSo take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
Before she knows it she's a brand new bride
In a one-bedroom apartment, and her daddy stops by
He tells her It's a nice place
She says It'll do for now
Starts talking about babies and buying a house
Daddy shakes his head and says Baby just slow down
'Cause You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
Five years later there's a plumber workin' on the water heater
Dog's barkin', phone's ringin
'One kid's cryin', one kid's screamin'
She keeps apologizin'
He says they don't bother me
I've got 2 babies of my ownOne's 36, one's 23
Huh, it's hard to believe
But you're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
You're gonna miss this
Yeah, you're gonna miss this
She was staring out that window, of that SUV
Complaining, saying I can't wait to turn 18
She said I'll make my own money, and I'll make my own rules

Lyrics of The Wk #2 If Heaven
This Week I picked Justin Moore's Song If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away...Love the visuals I get when I hear this song!
Every day I drive to work across Flint River bridge
A hundred yards from the spot where me and grandpa fished
There's a piece of his old fruit stand on the side of Sawmill Road
He'd be there peelin' peaches if it was twenty years ago
And what I wouldn't give
To ride around in that old truck with him
If heaven wasn't so far away
I'd pack up the kids and go for the day
Introduce them to their grandpa
Watch 'em laugh at the way he talks
I'd find my long lost cousin John
The one we left back in Vietnam
Show him a picture of his daughter now
She's a doctor and he'd be proud
Then tell him we'd be back in a couple of days
In the rear view mirror we'd all watch 'em wave
Yeah, and losing them wouldn't be so hard to take
If heaven wasn't so far away
I'd hug all three of those girls we lost from the class of '99
( From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/j/justin-moore-lyrics/if-heaven-wasn_t-so-far-away-lyrics.html )
And I'd find my bird dog Bo and take him huntin' one more time
I'd ask Hank why he took those pills back in '53
And Janis to sing the second verse of "Me and Bobby McGee"
Sit on a cloud and visit for a while
It'd do me good just to see them smile
If heaven wasn't so far away
I'd pack up the kids and go for the day
Introduce them to their grandpa
Watch 'em laugh at the way he talks
I'd find my long lost cousin John
The one we left back in Vietnam
Show him a picture of his daughter now
She's a doctor and he'd be proud
Then tell him we'd be back in a couple of days
In the rear view mirror we'd all watch 'em wave
Yeah, and losing them wouldn't be so hard to take
If heaven wasn't so far
If heaven wasn't so far
If heaven wasn't so far away
So far away
So far away

Watchin Daddy!!!
Mascots!!!
On Saturday James and I were suppose to house sit...so we packed the pups up to head to Brentwood, but we had a stop first...The MS Walk. Bailey and I dropped the boys off to do their thing and Bill did great!!! Bailey was there for a bit and did good too. Then she and I headed to the dog park to get some energy out and then to Mom's house.

It was so great to see James doing his NSM thing and the pups were great Mascots!!!!
